  • Connect with chefs or home cooks offering unique culinary experiences.
  • Engage with the community via reviews, comments, and other forms of interaction.

By using TheEatLand.com, you acknowledge that we act solely as an intermediary, facilitating connections between users (chefs and customers). TheEatLand.com does not prepare, handle, sell, or control any food or services offered on the platform. Users are responsible for ensuring the quality, legality, and safety of the food or services they provide or consume.


2. User Eligibility

To use TheEatLand.com, users must meet the following criteria:

  • Age Requirement: You must be at least 18 years old or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction.
  • Legal Capacity: You must have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements.
  • Compliance with Local Laws: You agree to comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Account Registration: You must provide accurate and up-to-date information when creating an account. Accounts are non-transferable and cannot be shared without prior written consent.

Chefs and Food Providers must meet all legal and regulatory requirements for offering food services in their jurisdictions, including licenses and certifications.

Users (chefs, home cooks, and customers) must register for an account to access certain features. By registering, you agree to:

  • Maintain the confidentiality of your account details.
  • Notify TheEatLand.com immediately of any unauthorized access or breach.
  • Ensure that your account information is accurate and up to date.

TheEatLand.com reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms.


4. Use of the Platform

4.1 For Chefs and Home Cooks

Chefs and home cooks providing culinary services on TheEatLand.com are required to adhere to the following guidelines to ensure a high-quality and transparent experience for all users:

4- 1-1 Accurate Representations:

    • Chefs must accurately describe their dishes, services, and preparation methods. Misleading information regarding the content, quality, or nature of the food may result in account suspension or termination.
    • Images of food must represent the actual dishes offered.

4-1-2 Ingredient Transparency:

    • All dishes must include a detailed list of ingredients to help customers identify potential allergens (e.g., nuts, dairy, gluten) and comply with dietary needs.
    • Special dietary labels (e.g., vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, halal, kosher) must be truthful and accurately reflect the preparation and sourcing of the food.

4-1-3 Cultural and Dietary Compliance:

    • If marketing dishes as compliant with cultural or religious standards (e.g., halal, kosher), chefs are responsible for ensuring adherence to these standards. Misrepresentation is strictly prohibited.
    • Chefs must clearly label dishes that do or do not meet these requirements in the menu description.

4-1-4 Food Safety and Hygiene:

    • Chefs are solely responsible for ensuring that all food preparation complies with local health and safety regulations. This includes maintaining proper hygiene standards during cooking, packaging, and delivery.

4-1-5 Communication:

Chefs must be responsive to customer inquiries about ingredients, preparation methods, and any other food-related concerns. Clear and timely communication fosters trust and ensures a positive experience for all parties.

4-1-6 Licensing and Compliance:

      • It is the chef’s responsibility to obtain and maintain any licenses, permits, or certifications required by their local jurisdiction to provide food services.

4.2 For Customers

Customers using TheEatLand.com are expected to:

4-2-1 Review Descriptions and Ingredients:

Customers must carefully review the ingredient lists and descriptions provided by chefs. If specific dietary requirements or allergens are a concern, customers are encouraged to contact the chef directly for clarification.

4-2-2 Clear Communication:

Customers should provide clear instructions and communicate their dietary restrictions, preferences, or allergen concerns before placing an order.

4-2-3 Fair Ratings and Feedback:

        • Customers are encouraged to leave honest and constructive reviews to help maintain a transparent and trustworthy community. Ratings should reflect their genuine experience with the chef and their services.

4-2-4 Respectful Interaction:

    • Customers must engage respectfully with chefs and refrain from abusive or inappropriate language.

Platform Exclusivity

All transactions between chefs, home cooks, and customers must occur through TheEatLand.com. Customers and chefs are prohibited from making direct arrangements outside the platform following initial interactions. This ensures transparency, fairness, and access to platform-provided tools like reviews and dispute resolution.

For Customers:

  • Customers can browse offerings, communicate with chefs, and place orders.
  • Customers are encouraged to review chef profiles, ratings, and reviews before placing orders.
  • 5. Payments and Fees

    5.1 Accepted Payment Methods

    theEatLand.com ensures a seamless payment experience by supporting the following methods:

    • Credit/Debit Cards: Including Visa, MasterCard, and American Express.
    • PayPal: A widely trusted online payment service.
    • Google Pay and Apple Pay: For fast and secure transactions.
    • Other International Payment Gateways: Additional options may be introduced based on user demand.

    All payments are securely processed, and no sensitive payment details are stored on theEatLand.com servers.


    5.2 Membership Subscriptions

    Key Terms for Membership Plans:

    • Membership fees are billed upfront for the entire duration of the plan.
    • Automatic renewals are available for Standard, Premium, and Gold plans. Users can opt-out at any time.
    • Members with paid plans enjoy reduced commission fees, enhanced visibility, and access to premium features.

5-3 Platform Commission

  • Commission Rate: The commission fee varies by membership plan. See the table in Section 5.2 for details.
  • For plans that include a commission fee, the amount is automatically deducted from the gross payment made by customers before funds are transferred to chefs or restaurants.

5-4 Processing Payments

  • Payments on theEatLand.com are securely processed through third-party providers.
  • All transactions are encrypted and comply with international security standards.
  • Users’ payment data is not directly accessed or stored by theEatLand.com.

5-5 Currency and Taxes

  • Transactions are conducted in Euros (€) unless otherwise specified.
  • Any applicable taxes (e.g., VAT) will be transparently included in the checkout amount.

5-6 Payouts to Chefs and Restaurants

  • Payouts are processed monthly, closing on the last day of the month.
  • Funds are transferred within 7–10 business days after the payout period ends.

5-7 Refund Policy

  • Refunds are subject to theEatLand.com’s refund policy, as outlined in Clause 9.
  • For refunded transactions, any applicable commission and processing fees may be deducted before issuing the refund.

5-8 Disputes and Chargebacks

  • Payment disputes, chargebacks, or unauthorized transactions will be resolved with the third-party payment provider. Users can contact [email protected] for assistance.

By using TheEatLand.com, users agree to these payment terms, including the platform’s commission and membership policies, as well as any associated terms of third-party payment providers.


6. Content and Intellectual Property

  • Users retain ownership of the content they create but grant TheEatLand.com a license to use, display, and promote it.
  • TheEatLand.com owns all rights to its name, logo, and platform design. Unauthorized use is strictly prohibited.

7. User Conduct

Users agree to:

  • Respect others and refrain from offensive, illegal, or fraudulent behavior.
  • Not misrepresent services or violate intellectual property rights.
  • Conduct all transactions exclusively through the platform.

Platform Exclusivity: Users must not arrange direct transactions with chefs or home cooks outside the platform after the initial order. This ensures transparency, user safety, and a fair experience. Violations may result in account suspension.

Ratings and Disputes: Users can rate chefs and seek dispute resolution through tools provided by the platform. TheEatLand.com assumes no responsibility for disputes arising from off-platform interactions.


8. Liability

TheEatLand.com is an intermediary and does not prepare or inspect food. Therefore, we are not liable for:

  • Food quality, freshness, or safety.
  • Allergic reactions, dietary restrictions, or health concerns.
  • Delivery issues, delays, or disputes between users.

Users are encouraged to communicate dietary needs directly with chefs.


9. Refunds and Cancellations

9.1 Refund Eligibility:

Customers may be eligible for a refund if the following conditions are met:

  • The refund request is initiated within 24 hours of receiving the order.
  • The quality of the cuisine did not meet acceptable standards as reasonably determined by theEatLand.com.
  • The chef has explicitly acknowledged an issue with the order.

9.2 Refund Process:

Customers must contact theEatLand.com’s support team at [email protected] to initiate a refund request. The request should include relevant details such as the order number and a description of the issue. TheEatLand.com will review the refund request and, if deemed valid, will process the refund within 3 business days of approval.

9.3 Refund Deductions:

Refunds may be subject to deductions as follows:

  • Customer Deduction: TheEatLand.com’s commission fee may be deducted from the total refund amount provided to the customer.
  • Chef Deduction: Alternatively, theEatLand.com’s commission fee may be deducted from the chef’s subsequent payout.

9.4 Quality Assurance:

  • To uphold theEatLand.com’s standards, all chefs are required to adhere to stringent hygiene and culinary practices.
  • Customers are encouraged to provide feedback on their orders to help ensure ongoing quality and address concerns effectively.

9.5 Non-Refundable Circumstances:

Refunds will not be issued in the following scenarios:

  • The request is made beyond the 24-hour refund eligibility window.
  • The issue arises due to circumstances outside of theEatLand.com’s control, including but not limited to delays caused by the customer providing incorrect delivery information.

9.6 Limitations: TheEatLand.com reserves the right to amend or deny refund requests based on individual circumstances, fraudulent claims, or misuse of the platform.


10. Privacy and Data Protection

User data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

  • Sensitive information, such as payment details, is processed securely through third-party providers.
  • By using the platform, users consent to data processing for platform functions.

11. Termination of Use

11-1 Grounds for Termination

    • TheEatLand.com reserves the right to suspend or terminate a user’s account at any time without prior notice if the user violates these Terms and Conditions or engages in activities that undermine the integrity, security, or reputation of the platform.
    • Grounds for termination include, but are not limited to:
      • Posting false or misleading information.
      • Engaging in abusive, offensive, or illegal behavior.
      • Breaching intellectual property rights or data privacy laws.
      • Attempting to bypass the platform for direct transactions between chefs and customers.

11-2 Effect of Termination

    • Upon termination, users lose access to their accounts, including any saved data, transaction history, or ongoing communications.
    • Chefs will no longer be able to accept new orders and pending orders may be canceled at TheEatLand.com’s discretion.

11- 3 Appealing Termination

Users may appeal account termination by contacting TheEatLand.com at [email protected]. Appeals will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and TheEatLand.com reserves the right to uphold or reverse the decision at its sole discretion.


12. Amendments

12-1 Right to Modify Terms

    • TheEatLand.com may revise, amend, or update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes may reflect new features, adjustments to regulatory requirements, or improvements to user safety and platform functionality.

12-2 Notification of Changes

    • Significant changes to these Terms will be communicated to users via email, in-app notifications, or a prominent announcement on the website at least 30 days prior to the effective date of the changes.

12-3 User Responsibility
